So that the other participants are not bothered by any background noises or music on hold, please mute your microphone until you want to talk to the group and do not place the conference call on hold to take another call. For conventional Touch Tone phones the '1' key will signal the conference server to alternately mute and unmute your microphone audio. Other telephone instruments or clients may have a specific mute button.
The shared desktop is available at meeting times using a Java enabled browser. Use this URL http://callin.xelatec.com/vnc or click here. Allow the Java VNC applet to load and run and click OK at the "VNC Connection Details" prompt. Then when prompted for a password, enter 'asterisk'. We use this shared desktop for general purpose notes, displaying presentations, website browsing and ssh sessions with Asterisk servers.
