Atlanta Asterisk Users Group

For this month’s meeting we are going to be the guests of the local Voiceroute Druid Meetup group. This is their inaugural meeting and it’s sponsered by Voiceroute and hosted by its CEO. They have graciously offered to provide a location and food for the event. So that they can plan ahead, they’ve asked that our members who plan to attend sign up at http://druidatlanta.eventbrite.com.

The meeting will be on May 27th and run from 6 to 9 pm. We’ll conduct our usual Atlanta Asterisk Users Group business in there somewhere. The location is the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta NE/Sugarloaf, 2040 Sugarloaf Circle, Duluth GA 30097

The next AAUG meeting will be held Tuesday March 25th 7pm. at Georgia Tech in preparation for next month’s Asterisk Install Fest and Conference. We will meet in room 114 of the Manufacturing Research Center (MARC) building. This building isat 13 Feerst Drive, on the South side of Feerst Drive, 4 blocks West of the Klaus Advanced Computing Building where we will hold the Install Fest. There is a parking lot on Feerst drive about 2 blocks East of the

This year we’ll have more vendor participation (they’re buying us lunch!) and more detailed and advanced presentations with valuable content for IP communications professionals and enthusiasts.

The program consists of two tracks in two lecture halls. One track focuses on the basic installation and configuration of Asterisk. That’s where volunteers install Asterisk on attendee supplied computers. That process will be shown and explained using the lecture hall projection screen. The second track covers advanced topics for users and developers. Demonstrations and vendor presentations are a part of both tracks.

Asterisk Users Group has been canceled.

We have a great program planned for the February 26th meeting
and more in the months to come. Watch for more information via
this mailing list and the website as the details become available.

Everyone! we need to get going if we are going to have a Second Annual Atlanta
Asterisk Users Group Install Fest and Conference, a group of us will meet
informally at Jason’s Deli to exchange ideas @ 7:30 PM. As usual, all things Asterisk are
fair game for discussion and everyone is invited.

Cheryl Farmer, the Senior Account Manager for the Eastern U.S. territory of Pika Technologies will present their Asterisk Appliance and other Pika products and services at the February 26th meeting of the Atlanta Asterisk Users Group. This product was shown at Astricon and it is a very interesting device.

There will not be an AAUG Meeting meeting on Christmas Tuesday December 25th.

The next AAUG Meeting will be Tuesday January 29th, 2008
